Digging for the past

10 days tour of the mainland and Santorini

Greece at the crossroads of the centuries… the archaeologists’ playground, starting from the days of the 19th century and those who thought of an excavation in terms of treasure hunting to the archaeologists-investigators of the unforeseeable, of all those things that pertain to human beings and their transient life.

Travel from the palace of Agamemnon to the broken staircase of a house in Acrotiri, and from the mystery of Delfi to the prosperous city of Messene: this is a descent into historical time, with stops at the most renown sites in the south of Greece, each one featuring a different era in the history of the country and all of them reflecting the diversity of the ancient Greek civilization, from the Bronze age to the years of the Roman conquest.
