Visiting Athens with kids? What a great opportunity to discover our city from a different perspective!
We pick a museum (the New Acropolis or the National Archaeological) and we make all those ancient gods and heroes come alive so to take us on a journey through time and space. A 100m race right where the first modern Olympics took place in 1896 will get one-or maybe all of you-at the first place of the podium before we explore the out-of sight tunnels of the stadium. The top of the highest hill is ideal for panoramic views of the city and family pics; the National Garden with hundreds of indigenous plants and trees, ponds, domestic animals and wild mountain goats consists an oasis during the hottest summer days and it's right next to the Palace & Syntagma Sq. where the Presidential Guards in their unique style uniform will definitely catch your attention. Great meal suggestions for closing; burger or pasta (of course) among other options and before dessert: what about some"kaimaki" ice-cream?

35 Euros - Admission fees to the Acropolis, the Theatre of Dionysus, the Temple of Zeus (30 euros) and the Acropolis museum (5 euros).

Young travellers under 18 years old are free of charge at all archaeological sites of the country. At the Acropolis museum they are entitled to a reduced admission fee (3 euros) with current identification card to confirm age.

*Museum tickets: from 5 to 10 EUR for adults. Children under 18 are free of charge at the National Museum while they pay 3 EUR at the Acropolis museum.

*Temple of Zeus :10 EUR for the adults-Under 18: free of charge

*Old Olympic Stadium: 5 EUR for adults. Under 6years old: free.Over 6 to 18years old they get a discount and pay 2,50 EUR)
